Welcome to June! Are you and your family prepared for the summer heat?
Today we would love to share a few tips to keep in mind this season. Stay hydrated at all times, especially when you are spending time outdoors. Do this by drinking plenty of water throughout the day, even when you are not thirsty. Try wearing loose-fitting, light-colored clothing to prevent trapping heat from the sun. Minimize your exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours, usually between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Spend time in air conditioning and the shade whenever possible. Lastly, remember to have fun and enjoy some time in the water!

Not only does this allow non-mobile patients to receive pampering from inside their beds, but it also continues to provide safe comfort to those who prefer to remain in their homes.

National Senior Health and Fitness Day is a splendid way to promote physical activity, health, and fitness in seniors. Today we wanted to share a couple of tips for staying active in observance of this national day.
Visit the outdoors! You could go visit the park or go on a mini adventure on your own or with your pet in your neighboring area. You could also tend to your yard or garden on your property. All of these are great ways to remain active and allow yourself to breathe in the fresh air.
Check your neighborhood groups or local gyms and see if there are classes you can attend. Not only will you leave feeling energized, but you may also find companions who would love to continue joining you in your physical journey. Many classes may include; water aerobics, chair yoga, and dancing!
