šØ BREAKING: On July 17, 2025, the FDA Expert Panel on Menopause and Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women met to re-evaluate the actual risks and benefits of hormone therapy, a potential game-changer for womenās health.
This expert meeting reviewed updated data on breast cancer, cardiovascular disease, bone health, dementia, and genitourinary symptoms, with a special focus on how these risks and benefits vary by age of hormone initiation, type, dose, and route of administration. Information weāve known clinically for years, but is finally reaching the federal level.
š The panel strongly supported removing the black box warning on testosterone for women and modernizing outdated HRT labeling that has long restricted access to safe, effective care (Watch the video in the first comment).
š³ The FDA is now asking for YOUR input. Theyāve opened a public comment period to hear from clinicians, patients, and advocates about your real-world experiences with menopause and hormone therapy.
