She is the mastermind and visionary behind the “GO TO Coder” direction of the academy. Today she teaches 1 to 3 Day medical coding courses all across the globe. Over the past 13 years, she set out to prove that a student can master the coding guidelines upon completing her courses with no experience or prior knowledge needed. Her ability to progress students from 0-60 through energetic intense chapter by chapter training is unmatched. Mrs. Ortega has passed a myriad of golden standard credential board exams through AHIMA® and AAPC®. Having achieved the CCS®, CCS-P®, CCA®, CPC®, COC™, CPMA®, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and CPCI®, Mrs. Ortega is one of the most unique and highly sought-after instructors in the industry maintaining the ability to break down the medical coding guidelines. Her teaching style has fostered conversations all across the globe. When you speak with her you find out pretty quickly that it is all about maximizing her time with her students. Having taught at the high school and college level, Delissa set out to prove that a student can master coding guidelines upon completing her class. She has a way of breaking down complex coding guidelines and making them easy to interpret and apply. Joseph Giries: CEO/Owner/Operations and Instructor. Joseph Giries is the mastermind behind the "Go To Coder" direction of the academy. Joseph Giries has worked as a corporate compliance officer, public speaker and teacher in health care for over 12 years establishing effective compliance programs to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
Mr. Giries has a special passion for the law & ethics aspect of medical coding and works closely with the VA hospital and OIG. He holds classes at various events held across the USA. He prides himself in creating Go To Coders and expelling them into the dynamic industry of Medical Billing & Coding.
