✨Meet Lotus Teacher Emily Rose Anderson✨

Emily’s yoga journey began at age nine, when her mom gave her a 20-minute VHS tape to help ease her anxious mind before bed. She’s been in love with mindful movement ever since. A lifelong dancer, she began studying modern and creative movement at age three, and that expressive foundation continues to shape her approach to yoga.
After many years of personal practice, Emily completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Breathe For Change in 2021 and her 300-hour training with Ignite Yoga & Wellness Institute in 2022. She now serves as a mentor for Breathe For Change, supporting fellow educators in bringing yoga and mindfulness into their classrooms and communities.
Emily is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible yoga spaces where students of all bodies, identities, and experience levels feel truly welcome. Her trauma-informed approach centers intentional movement and breath, inviting students to connect with themselves in a safe, supportive environment. Expect a grounded yet lighthearted class full of options, props, and encouragement to listen inward—you are the priority.
Outside the studio, Emily teaches 8th-grade English and is a certified Barre3 instructor, bringing her love of strength, creativity, and joy to multiple movement modalities.
She delights in musicals, game nights, nature walks, and a good book. She’s a devoted fan of Mary Oliver and Jane Austen, but you’ll also catch her devouring young adult novels. She lives with her husband, sister, and cats in Arlington, MA.
