Nice reminder that wellness and self-care take many forms and small changes in any of these pie pieces can have a huge impact on our day to day. Hope this serves as a reminder to compassionately check in with all of these areas of your life and work towards more balance.

OMGoodness!! My client's know I worship this lady and pretty much recommend Power of Vulnerability and Gifts of Imperfection to everyone. I am so thrilled the epidemic of shame and its remedies will be exposed on a much more global scale and hope everyone tunes in on April 19th to check her out! Yay 😀

These are important questions we can ask ourselves as we get sucked into what can become the seductive lure of Facebook. Stop, pause, breathe and gently check in. Use these questions to decide what might come next! Maybe you put the phone in a drawer and go give your dog some love, bake cookies or pick up the book on your nightstand collecting dust and read a chapter. Then, rinse and repeat! Occasional check ins throughout your day allow you to remain intentional and focused.

How cool! You can tailor your meditation to be able to target your specific needs. For example a “Presence” meditation, being able to observe your thoughts non-judgmentally, leads to chemical changes in the parts of your brain needed to pay attention. Enjoy!

A new study provides compelling evidence that different forms of meditation can change the brain in measurable ways.

For my February post I would love to bring light to the fact that many often look at depression as something that can be easily tackled by going for walks and being able to "pull yourself up by your bootstraps". I love this list of realistic and manageable self-care ideas for the toughest of days. I am also attaching a link above to a wonderful "mindful standing yoga" meditation which is wonderful for healing and serves to prevent more severe depressive episodes. Be gentle on yourself!

Self-care is important for your mental and physical fitness, neglecting it can leave you in ruins. Find out what exactly it looks like, why it's important, and how CBD can help!

It's been a while and I apologize. Moved to another state and things have been a little bit chaotic. Its finally starting to settle down! I am taking inspiration from a friend and committing to one post a month for the next 6 months. I am starting things off with what I think is a very important topic that I tackle daily in my office.

This multi-systemic explanation of the "Burnout Generation" is liberating, eye-opening and shocking. Our society has become so unbalanced over the last 2 or 3 generations. Recognizing that the problem is systemic and perpetuated by societal structure does not have to feel hopeless, but rather comes as a relief. The message: We are not alone, there may be no immediate solution, but mostly, don't take life too seriously. Thank you to a wonderful client for sharing this...

"This isn’t a task to complete or a line on a to-do list, or even a New Year’s resolution. It’s a way of thinking about life, and what joy and meaning we can derive not just from optimizing it, but living it. Which is another way of saying: It’s life’s actual work".

I couldn’t figure out why small, straightforward tasks on my to-do list felt so impossible. The answer is both more complex and far simpler than I expected.

A life spent dutifully responding to emails is a dull one indeed. And “wasted” time is, in fact, highly fulfilling and necessary.

Good reminder as we approach the weekend.

Sometimes life starts to spin out of control and it’s tough for us to keep up. Things that once seemed insignificant are suddenly annoying and we find ourselves snapping at others even when they’ve done nothing wrong. This may be a result of mental and emotional exhaustion, and identifying the k...

Happiness is a fleeting state of mind, an emotion, what truly keeps us fulfilled is meaning in our lives. I absolutely love this. Such an important message. We get so attached to the idea of true happiness and never explore it’s true meaning. And what that uniquely is to US.
