Rush Creek Counseling Center

Rush Creek Counseling Center At the Rush Creek Counseling Center, we provide a confidential place to face your struggles.

At the Rush Creek Counseling Center, we provide a confidential place to face those struggles with the assistance of a professional counselor. Therapy is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, couple or family. The process of growth and development in every person looks and feels different; therefore we attempt to meet people where they are and incorporate various assignments and techniques with traditional “talk” therapy.

This kind of up-close, gentle care draws near to the heart of Christian counseling.

Many of our counselors are also moms themselves, but we all attempt to bring this same compassion, patience, and nurturing spirit into the way we care for clients.

This Mother’s Day, we’re grateful for mothers and the many ways they offer "not only the gospel of God but their own selves" in care for others.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷

This Mental Health Month, don't forget that

➡️ Sometimes anxiety, burnout, or despair are intensified by exhaustion, dehydration, or lack of nourishment.
➡️ Before deep processing, your body may need rest and regulation.
➡️ Caring for your body is not separate from mental health—it’s often the starting point.

Time for a water/snack/nap break, folks!🥛🍞💤

Let’s be honest…
The Star Wars saga might’ve gone differently if Darth Vader had seen a counselor. And the Empire probably had excellent insurance coverage.

Our recommendations:
Episode 1: Play therapy with Heather Hogue
Episode 2: Premarital counseling with Aaron Spaight
Episode 3: Grief counseling with Jena Bennett
Episode 4: CBT with Rebeca Meyer
Episode 5: Trauma therapy with Deborah Shields
Episode 6: Identity therapy with Stephanie Collins

Or: Read the bios www.rushcreekcounseling.org and “searched his feelings” to find a counselor.

Laughter actually helps your body shift gears—it lowers stress, lightens your mood, and gives your mind a break from the constant “to-do” list in the background.

Weekend call to action: choose one intentionally joyful moment this weekend—watch something funny, spend time with someone who makes you laugh, or be silly with your kids.

A little laughter can go a long way in helping you reset your nervous system for the week ahead.
