Immune boosting stew
8c water
1/2c barley
1 onion, chopped
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and chopped
4 Cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
4 shiitake mushrooms or more
2 carrots, chopped
2 stalks of celery, chopped
3 pieces of astragalus root
Tablespoon of Dandelion or Murdock root
¼ tsp thyme
¼ tsp fresh cracked peppercorns
Cayenne to taste

Add everything to a pot and bring to a boil then down to a simmer for 30 to 45 minutes or until vegetables are cooked through.
** Remove the root chunks before eating.
* You can wrap them in cheese cloth or a tea bag before boiling for easy removal.

Immune boosting tea (chai tea)
1c water
2 thin slices of ginger
2 cardamom pods
½ cinnamon stick
3 peppercorns
2 Cloves
1 bag green tea
Honey to taste 🍯

Steep with hot water for 3 to 5 minutes. cool to your liking.
