Cholesterol isn't the problem. It's like the bandaid your body uses to repair damage. High blood glucose levels (sugar) can damage blood vessels and veins in several ways, including hardening of the arteries and thickened capillary walls. Cholesterol is what the body sends to repair the damage. Don't blame the Band-Aid for the cut!
