Our residents had a fun filled day full of Irish kisses and shamrock wishes! ☘️

We all enjoyed the 80 degree sunshine ☀️, trivia, live music by Akusa Powell, rainbow sorbet floats 🌈, fresh fruits, corn beef nachos and the yummiest Guinness chocolate cupcake with bailey’s Irish buttercream made by our very own kitchen director, . ☘️

Our wonderful residents enjoyed a lovely dinner prepared by our very own Chef Carlos. It was a lovely night with fantastic food (our residents requested Prime rib as their main course meal) awesome live music and great lasting Christmas memories.

For some seniors, the holidays can be lonely. Senior Angels of the Central Coast is working to change that by making sure older adults in San Luis Obispo County feel remembered and celebrated.

The nonprofit fulfills wish lists for seniors in care facilities and in People’s Self-Help Housing.

“It means the world,” said Peggy Bittle, a senior at the Arroyo Grande Care Center. “It’s exciting knowing that you’re not forgotten.”

AGCC Chili Cook off 🌶️

Our residents and staff got to taste different types of chili from our wonderful staff members who impressed all of us with their amazing homemade chili recipes! A bonus on a rainy day. ☔️🌧️💧

We had a blast judging!

And the winners are: 🥇Julie Ann from Activities, our Chili CookOff champion, who won a date night snack basket and an hour at Sycamore Hot Springs! 🥈Shannara from Dietary took 2nd place, and 🥉Nova from Dietary took 3rd place.
