🌟 Exciting News! 🌟
CHC’s Behavioral Health Department has been awarded the Multi-Year Movement Building Grant by The Fund for Santa Barbara! 🎉
On July 30th, our Behavioral Health Grants team proudly accepted this award on behalf of the department. These funds will help us amplify the voices of the communities we serve and expand outreach in community-defined safe spaces. We’re grateful for this recognition and excited to continue building a healthier, stronger community together.

Congratulations to the 2025 cohort of Central Coast ATSU Physician Assistant students who were honored at their recent White Coat Ceremony! 🩺✨ This special milestone marks the beginning of their clinical journey and a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
CHC is proud to partner with A.T. Still University as a clinical training site—providing hands-on experience in community health while helping expand access to care across the Central Coast. Together, we’re shaping the next generation of skilled, service-driven providers and building a stronger, more connected future for the communities we serve.

Today, on César Chávez Day, we honor the legacy of a leader who dedicated his life to the dignity and rights of farmworkers — and we also honor the farmworkers themselves.
Their labor feeds our families and sustains our communities, often without the recognition or protection they deserve.
César Chávez reminded us that “The fight is never about grapes or lettuce. It is always about people.”
So today, and every day, we stand in gratitude and solidarity with farmworkers — past, present, and future — who continue to inspire us with their strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. ¡Sí, se puede!

Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors National Health Center Week (NHCW) to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,400 Community Health Centers (CHCs). National Health Center Week is an opportunity to highlight the commitment and passion of Community Health Center staff, board members, and supporters who make it possible to provide quality, comprehensive healthcare services to more than 31.5 million patients across nearly 15,000 communities annually.
