​One of the most important parts of equine massage isn't just what you do with your hands, but how you "listen" to the horse's response. A relaxed horse is getting the full benefit of the work. 😍

​This week's tip: Learn the Signs of Relaxation.

​When your horse is enjoying the massage and their parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" system) is activated, they will show you!

What to Look for:
​✅ Licking & Chewing: The number one sign of processing and release.
✅ Lowering the Head: A clear indication that they are relaxing and releasing tension in their topline.
✅ Sighing or Deep Breaths: A physical release of tension.
✅ Soft, Blinking Eyes: The "sleepy" look shows they are calm.
✅ Muscle Twitches or Tremors: Small, involuntary muscle fasciculations as tension lets go.
