A mother’s love stays with us forever.
Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the women who have loved us fiercely and held our families together.
But for some families, this day can feel especially tender.
Not long ago, WV Caring Hospice cared for a remarkable mom named Julie. Her family was exhausted and afraid, doing everything they could to keep her comfortable.
When our hospice team arrived, the room began to change.
Pain was eased.
Questions were answered.
Compassion filled the space.
After Julie passed, her daughter shared something we will never forget:
“You helped my mom feel peaceful… and you helped me be her daughter again, not just her caregiver.”
That is the gift of hospice — comfort, dignity, and love when it matters most.
