Health care vs Sick care

Unfortunately, when you hear the words “health care”, most people think about hospitals and white lab coats.

From my perspective, this has evolved from years of overemphasizing medications and surgeries, and calling it health.

I’ve been in chiropractic for almost 6 years. During that time, I’ve seen over a thousand clients for various musculoskeletal conditions. The hardest cases, and slowest healers are the people that have trusted the medical system to fix their problems for them.

The ones that have healed quickly and had the best results are the people who take ownership for their situation and don’t become dependent upon medicine to numb their pain. This has helped me gain so much confidence in the body’s ability to heal if given the right input.

There’s no reason the chronic disease numbers are as high as we’ve seen, other than a lack of good information to get our needs met at a high level.

God is so good!!

A client found our office after YEARS of low back pain and sciatica after stepping off a ladder and producing this low back injury.

If she would have undergone “traditional” care of seeing a medical specialist, chances are high that she would have been on the surgical table.

This is what I live for as a father. On a 4-mile run chasing my boy on his bike, and we stop for some impromptu rides on the BMX hills.

He did not want to do this ride with me because 4 miles seems like a long way. Yet, when we were done he was glad he said “FINE DAD, I’ll go.”
