It's no secret the rock climbing in Colorado is second to none! Climbers heavily rely on dynamic shoulder mobility, lateral stability, and full-body coordination. The GYROTONIC® Method has endless movements that support these, demonstrated here by Deb.
Today’s movement mimics upper body movement of a reach-and-step:
🔁 Arms spiral overhead to open the shoulder girdle and thoracic spine
🦵 Legs step into a lateral lunge to activate glutes, adductors, and core stability
This pattern supports scapular glide, overhead range, and cross-body integration — all essential for climbing with control and preventing strain. We recommend this exercise as a warm-up before your next climb.
