Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado RESCUED ANIMALS RESCUING PEOPLE | A nonprofit providing and promoting animal assisted psychotherapy. We also have offices in Boulder CO.

We provide counseling to people of all ages with the assistance of therapy animals. We have several licensed and professional counselors as well as an Affordable Counseling Program that offers a sliding fee scale. Our training program provides mental health professionals and students the opportunity to learn this specialization through live experiential workshops, intensives, and pre-recorded work

shops. We also provide Certification in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy to those professionals who want to become experts in their field. www.aatrainingcertificate.org

Animals improve human mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression while providing companionship, unconditional love, and a sense of purpose. Interacting with pets lowers cortisol (stress hormone) and boosts feel-good neurotransmitters like oxytocin and dopamine. They also provide structure, encourage exercise, and promote mindfulness.

Irish or not, today can be your lucky adopt-a-kitty day! Meet Merp! 😻🍀He’s a sweet kitty who loves to go on walks and car rides. You can find him and other adoptable felines at Angels with Paws and at our upcoming event on May 3rd-see event info on our website aatpc.org.

Merp is Felv positive, you can find him online and apply at www.angelswithpaws.net, anyone interested can come by to visit during our walk in hours Friday through Sunday from 1-7pm or make an appointment during the week by giving us a call at 303-274-2264 ext 2.
