Studies show that expressing gratitude doesn’t just boost happiness—it can actually improve heart health by lowering inflammation and heart rate variability. In other words, 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 in more ways than one!

Try this instead of journaling:
🚶‍♂️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤.”
Take a 10-minute walk (indoors or out) and silently thank something in your surroundings with each step.
“Thank you, lungs, for breathing.”
“Thank you, trees, for the oxygen.”
“Thank you, legs, for moving me through this day.”

By combining movement and mindfulness, you engage both body and brain—doubling gratitude’s benefits for mood, circulation, and calm.

There is little understanding about perimenopause, but there is a great depth of knowledge when it comes to the ways that massage can help soft tissue pain and stuck joints.

I am the author of Food, Feelings and Freedom: The End to Emotional Eating which acts as a field guide to the body and mind. You will learn what foods to eat, how to break free from sugar and “unhealthy” foods and how to create some foundational habits for great health!

I love to speak, sharing my knowledge in self-compassion, mindfulness and nutrition.
