Last week, Mothers' Milk Bank attended the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force Annual Conference in Albuquerque. This year marked the 32nd annual conference, themed “Beyond Survival: Nurturing Families Through Connection and Care.”

We’re especially proud of our very own Lenna Gregory, who was on the panel “Sharing Life: Understanding Human Milk Sharing.”

The discussion explored the vital role of both formal and informal human milk sharing, including the benefits for infants, safety and screening practices, ethical considerations, and the impact donor milk programs have on neonatal care and public health.

We’re grateful to be part of important conversations like these that help strengthen support for babies and families everywhere. 💛

Recognizing Social Worker Month! 🌟

At Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, we understand the profound impact of a supportive community and its ability to create positive change. That's why we're immensely grateful for our partnership with incredible social workers in our community. When families require our assistance, social workers serve as invaluable guides, illuminating the ways we can offer aid.

Thank you, social workers, for your unwavering commitment to helping us make a difference! 💙

🎉 Happy IBCLC Day! 🌟

Today we’re celebrating Kitcia, our incredible International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Donor Relations Coordinator, along with all the IBCLCs in our community. 💛

Breastfeeding can be one of the most beautiful parts of welcoming a new baby and one of the most challenging. From latching concerns and weight gain questions to allergies and tongue ties, having a knowledgeable, compassionate expert in your corner can make all the difference. IBCLCs don’t just offer clinical support, they provide reassurance, guidance, and a plan when parents need it most.

Kitcia provides free lactation support every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at our Baby Café, creating a space where families feel heard, supported, and empowered. 🤱

Want to learn more about the powerful role an IBCLC can play in a family’s journey? Read our latest blog post to hear a real story of impact: https://ow.ly/N82F50YpbGk

Thank you, Kitcia, and thank you to all IBCLCs who walk alongside families every single day. 💖

40,000 children are born with heart defects in the U.S. every year—that’s one every 15 minutes.

At Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, we support children facing a variety of diagnoses. For many, cardiac conditions are often associated with adults, but children experience them, too, especially newborns. For these children and their families, it can become a lifelong issue, and at RMCHF, we want to be sure they have the support they need while they navigate it all. Here are the stories of two families who know just what that journey is like, and two of the doctors who help make sure pediatric patients get the medical care they need. ❤️

Join us in supporting these families by getting involved with Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation. Learn more at rmchildren.org.

💫Thank You for Putting the Heart in Kaleidoscope!❤️

Our 2026 Kaleidoscope Gala was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with open hearts.

We are beyond grateful to everyone who attended, supported, sponsored, donated, bid, and helped bring the magic of the evening to life. Your generosity and enthusiasm made the night truly remarkable.

From the powerful stories shared on stage to the excitement of the auction and paddle raise, the energy in the room was incredible—and the impact will last far beyond one evening. Because of this amazing community, families will receive support when they need it most—whether that’s help covering essential expenses, access to critical resources, or simply knowing they’re not alone. That’s the real impact of Kaleidoscope.

A very special thank you to our Diamond Sponsor, HCA HealthONE. Having so many of your team members in the room made the night even more meaningful. We are so grateful for your partnership, not only for Kaleidoscope, but for the many programs that support pediatric patients all year long.

To everyone who played a part in making this event extraordinary, we are deeply grateful for your support. It truly means the world to us and to the children and families we serve. 💙

⭐Milk Donor Spotlight⭐

"Our son, Gracin, was born with transposition of the greater arteries. Gracin was supplemented with lipids while he was in the CICU. While Gracin was in the CICU, I was producing 60-72oz of milk that was immediately placed in the Mother's Milk Unit Freezer at Primary Children's Hospital in Utah. We are so thankful for the care our son received while in the CICU. We are so blessed that he is home with us now and exclusively breastfeeding. We hope that this donation of breastmilk will help the other amazing babies fighting for their lives and relieve their mothers of some stress." — Donor Korin

Thank you, Korin, for becoming a milk donor and helping support other babies and their parents. 💛

If you have an oversupply of milk and are interested in donating, visit milkbankcolorado.org to learn more.
