The staff from Gardens on Quail joined over 10,000 other supporters to end Alzheimer’s Disease Saturday at City Park, what an inspiring event! There are over 69,000 people in Colorado that suffer from this condition, it will take the dedication of ALL of us to find a cure to this devastating disease. Thank you to our own Sara Dent, Executive Director of Gardens on Quail for volunteering countless hours since January as a member of the Colorado Alzheimer’s Chapter!

The Gardens on Quail is excited to be a part of the Big and Loud Program. We are committed to helping those with Parkinson’s live long and happy lives with lesser effects of Parkinson’s. Our Therapists are now accredited for this program and are very excited to be involved with the Parkinson’s community. LSVT BIG (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) was developed specifically to address the unique movement impairments for people with Parkinson disease and can only be delivered by a certified physical or occupational therapist. Treatment is administered in four individual 60 minute sessions per week equating to 16 sessions over a single month. The protocol is both intensive and complex, with many repetitions of core movements that are used in daily living. This type of practice is necessary to optimize learning and carryover of your better movement into everyday life!

Living at the Gardens on Quail is so much fun! Today the Pink Ladies hosted an ice cream social in our 50's themed diner, a welcome cure to the summer heat. The residents and staff invite you to come for a visit to see all of our community amenities including the diner, the outdoor model train, the green house, the full size putting green and much more!
