🩷🖤!!Jewelry of the Week!!🖤🩷 This week's featured pieces are two malas made from vintage glass beads, a craft that dates back over 3,000 years to Egypt and Mesopotamia. The glass beads showcased were created in the 1900s. It's worth noting that black glass beads originated in ancient Phoenicia and the Middle East, where opacifiers like manganese, tin, or antimony were used to achieve their distinctive color. Pink glass beads were created in early 20th-century Bohemia glass factories, then by Depression glass companies during the Depression, and later by Fenton Glass throughout the mid-20th century.
