🎉 Please help us welcome Quincy Layne, M.S., CCC-SLP to the North Arkansas Therapy Services Ash Flat team! 🎉

Quincy is a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience across inpatient rehab, home health, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings. She has worked with patients of all ages, but has a special passion for helping adults with swallowing, voice, cognition, and communication challenges regain independence and improve quality of life.

She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Arkansas and brings a strong clinical background in treating language, memory, voice, and feeding/swallowing disorders. Quincy is dedicated to providing individualized, compassionate care and empowering patients and families through education and functional therapy.

We are so excited to have Quincy serving our Ash Flat community and expanding access to high-quality speech therapy close to home! 💚

Swallowing therapy works just like physical therapy:

✔️ Intensity
✔️ Consistency

Research shows that higher-repetition swallowing exercises lead to:
• Stronger swallow muscles
• Better airway protection
• Less residue
• Improved safety and efficiency

📊 The sweet spot?
➡️ 60–120 swallows per day
➡️ 100 effortful swallows/day sits right in the evidence-based range

👄 The Effortful Swallow specifically helps:
• Increase tongue base strength
