The Winter Solstice is one of my favorite days of the year.

Not because it is easy or light filled, but because of what it has taught me over time. This day has marked some of the most profound portals of growth in my life. Moments when I was asked to surrender certainty, to trust the unseen, and to allow myself to be reshaped in the quiet rather than the doing.

Again and again, the Solstice has arrived as a reminder that my deepest expansions did not come from pushing forward, but from listening inward. From choosing honesty over performance. From allowing the dark seasons to initiate me rather than fearing them.

Each year, this threshold feels like a gentle reckoning and a blessing all at once. A pause that asks me to honor who I have been, who I am becoming, and the wisdom earned through patience and presence. It is a day that has taught me to trust timing, to respect cycles, and to believe in the slow, faithful return of light within my own life.

This is not a time for forcing clarity or making big proclamations about who you will become. It is a time for honest presence with who you are right now.

The soil does not apologize
for being torn open.
It knows that every wound
is a place for roots.

My ribs are branches.
Ever bare,
they belong to the sky.

I pressed my cheek to the ground
and felt the earth breathing.
She whispered,
you are not broken,
you are becoming.

The body teaches what the mind resists:
lungs fill again,
hearts continue,
skin softens where it split.
Life does not ask.
It moves.

The trees remind me daily
you can lose everything you carry,
and still stand tall,
still grow leaves again.

When I touch my chest,
I no longer search for what has left.
I listen for what arrived:
the steady hum
of something infinite
inside me.

Rebirth is not thunder.
It is moss
creeping quietly over stone.

It is the silence of a seed
cracking open underground.

I am soil,
I am root,
I am body,
I am earth.
And I am rising.

Have you ever looked around at your life and thought, “Why does this keep happening?”

Maybe it’s the same kind of relationship drama playing on repeat, or financial struggles that always seem to return just when things start to feel stable.

Maybe it's chronic exhaustion, anxiety that won’t quiet, or just a deep, aching sense that you’re meant for more, but you can’t seem to access it.

I get it. I’ve been there.

And I want to share something powerful I’ve learned on my own journey: life doesn’t just happen to us. It happens through us.

Our life circumstances, those repeating patterns, that resistance, that heaviness or chaos, are often reflections of our energy.

Not in a blame-yourself kind of way, but in a wake-up-call kind of way. Because when you begin to see your external world as a mirror for your internal energy, you unlock the power to change everything.

Here’s what I believe with my whole being: when you change your energy, you change your life.

Not by forcing or hustling, but by becoming energetically aligned with the version of you who already lives that life.
