Our 2026 Campus in Color program is thriving! 🌸 Last week, both our Resident Campus in Color Committee and our Legacy Lane took trips to Lowe’s to choose flowers and veggies that hold special significance. In addition to that, they’ve also been growing plants in seed starters that are off to a great start. We’re excited to share photos showcasing the beautiful transformation residents and staff are creating together. 🌿✨

Our look back at last week’s unforgettable Kentucky Derby Celebration continues🐎🎩. We didn’t just race beds and stick horses, or strut our stuff on the fashion runway. The week also included Residents making stylish Derby hats and crafting paddle wheel boats. A big highlight was an insightful talk with Mollie Gilin from the Kentucky Derby Museum, exploring the Derby’s rich history. The festivities wrapped up with a lively Derby Happy Hour featuring music by Mark Pyles, delicious fried green tomatoes and benedictine sandwich, and mint juleps! Cheers to a week of community, learning, and celebration!

The Fourth Annual Willows at Springhurst Derby Fashion Show gave Residents and staff the chance to take the runway and showcase their style, poise, and creativity. A panel of judges evaluated on fashion, confidence, and crowd appeal—and it all lead to exciting wins! 🏆✨ We’re proud of everyone’s participation. Our residents celebrated renewal and the beauty of Mother Nature this week at the Spring Formal Elegant Dinner 🌸🎶. This special event, our second of four elevated dinners in 2026, was filled with Springtime charm — from stunning floral decor to live piano music by Zach Palma. Residents and staff dressed their best in seasonal attire, creating a joyful, elegant atmosphere. Chef Drew and his Culinary Team delighted everyone with a delicious dinner that was topped off with crème brûlée fired table side! Would you like to see more memorable moments like this? We are proud to introduce our brand new Mindful Moments Hub! 🌿 Open 24/7 to our Health Center residents and their guests, this unique space is part sensory room and part miniature private theater. With comfy seating and smart tech, the MMH is perfect for relaxation and reflection because it adapts to the needs and wants of the resident using it. A resident can enjoy a relaxing video of a babbling brook projected on the wall (equal to the size of an 84” TV) while experiencing some aroma therapy. Perhaps they will ask Alexa to play Sinatra’s greatest hits while they admire the hand painted willow tree mural. Maybe they will check to see if any birds are helping themselves to the feeder outside the window. Or maybe they’ll take in a ball game, if that is how they find their Zen.
