Starting therapy for the first time can feel uncertain, so we want you to know exactly what to expect.
At Think Happy Live Healthy, your very first step is a personalized match with a therapist who fits your needs and goals. From there, your first session is simply about getting to know you. No pressure, no agenda, just a space to show up as you are.
Our approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and fully integrated. If you need psychiatric support or psychological evaluation, it’s all under one roof. No piecing care together on your own.
This is what thoughtful, individualized therapy looks like.

Progress in therapy is often quieter than people expect. It doesn’t always come in the form of breakthroughs or big, defining moments. More often, it unfolds gradually; reshaping the way you think, respond, and move through your everyday life.
At Think Happy Live Healthy, progress looks like small, meaningful shifts:
• Pausing before reacting
• Setting boundaries for the first time
• Recognizing patterns you once moved through unconsciously
• Communicating your needs more clearly
• Staying present in discomfort instead of avoiding it
• Showing up, even on the hard days
Healing is not linear, and growth rarely happens all at once. It’s layered, personal, and deeply individual. What matters most is not how fast you move, but that you continue to move forward with intention, compassion, and patience for yourself along the way.

The idea for Think Happy Live Healthy began several years ago as I was working as a school psychologist in the Northern Virginia area. Starting out in elementary school I saw an overwhelming amount of children suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, self-injury and anxiety. By middle school, kids were overstressed, overworked, and overcommitted. They had developed no coping skills and therefore chose unhealthy ways to deal with their distress. One of the largest maintaining factors was that parents and teachers themselves were overworked and overstressed. Working in the school environment left me feeling very much the same way. So I set out on a mission to combine my training in school psychology along with my passions in mindfulness, yoga, fitness and nutrition to help inspire change.
Based largely on CBT and Mindfulness principles, we help our clients better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions in order to achieve relief from feelings of distress. Unlike traditional therapy, which places a large emphasis on counseling and medication, we believe that mental health is connected to our physical health. At Think Happy Live Healthy LLC we work to create an individualized plan for each client that involves therapy, fitness and nutrition programs. We realize the strong connection between our body and minds, and use that to provide a more effective kind of treatment for our patients.
If you are wanting to lead a healthier and happier life, where you feel motivated and empowered to reach your goals, we can help! By learning to let go of bad habits and embrace change, you have the power to live your best life.
