We are excited to announce that two outstanding ATs, Brad Spear and Katie Falis, were honored at the esteemed Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida meeting on Saturday, July 13, for their exceptional contributions to the field of athletic training:

Brad Spear, who works at Cypress Creek High School in Wesley Chapel, FL, received the Lifesaver Recognition for his heroic actions in saving a life during an emergency. Along with another athletic trainer, Brad administered compressions, rescue breathing, and AED shocks, ensuring the person was responsive before EMS arrived.

Katie Falis, who works at Anclote High School in Holiday, FL, was named the Secondary School Athletic Trainer of the Year for her professionalism, dedication, and exceptional care for her student-athletes. Katie ensures her athletes have access to high-quality care, coordinating priority appointments with physicians.
This recognition celebrates not only Brad and Katieβs achievements but also their unwavering commitment to health, safety, and excellence in their field. Their work exemplifies the significant impact athletic trainers have on the lives of those they serve.
