We are delighted to welcome Dr. Mehta to Physicians Premiere, where he will be leading Obesity Treatment and Concierge Primary Care at our Fair Oaks office.

Dr. Mehta is triple board-certified in Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. He brings extensive experience in patient-centered care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease managements, with a strong focus on long-term, sustainable wellness. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois, where he also served as a clinical preceptor and mentor for third and fourth year medical students. During his residency, Dr. Mehta was actively involved in several leadership committees. Dr. Mehta is known for combining clinical expertise with a compassionate, thoughtful approach, helping patients navigate their health and wellness at every stage of life.

A once-daily oral version of semaglutide (the same medication as Wegovy) is rolling out in pharmacies, potentially reducing barriers like storage and shipping.

How it works: GLP-1 medications help regulate appetite and fullness. The pill needs a higher dose than injections because it’s absorbed through the stomach before reaching the bloodstream.
