Meet Marya - Marya joined our team in June and fits right in!

Marya Elasha, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

​Marya completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she developed a strong foundation in health promotion and exercise prescription. Her positive experience at VCU led her to later return to the institution and obtain a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

​Marya is a dedicated and passionate professional who enjoys promoting health, wellness, and exercise across all age groups. An avid exercise enthusiast herself, Marya has actively participated in various sports and clubs, integrating her knowledge and experience into her treatment sessions. Marya is trained in all orthopedic conditions as well as pelvic floor therapy.

​In her leisure time, Marya loves spending quality time with friends and family. She also enjoys traveling and trying out new restaurants.

Rachel attended Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania where she received her undergraduate degree in Health Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While in school, Rachel was a division III field hockey player and is the assistant field hockey coach at Riverside High School.

​Rachel is passionate about treating vestibular, neurological, and balance disorders. She enjoys helping people regain their independence by creating a personalized treatment program to allow them back to doing they things they want to do. Vestibular and neurological physical therapy is unique in its own way where you can have fun by getting creative with exercises to challenge peoples’ different balance systems.

​Rachel is certified in LSVT BIG. She can treat patients with Parkinson's Disease and other neurological disorders with this research-based treatment protocol which is designed to train people to use their body more normally to improve walking and other self-care activities.​

In her free time, Rachel coaches field hockey and she and her fiancé are busy raising a service dog.

Craig Bittenbender, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

​Craig has been a physical therapist in Northern Virginia for 26 years. He has worked exclusively within orthopedic and sports orthopedic settings. Craig received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Marymount University in 1999 and went on to complete a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons college in Boston.

Craig has worked in both clinical and managerial roles during this time and has done lecturing to a variety of healthcare audiences in areas of clinical care within the orthopedic setting. He recently completed an Advanced Manual Therapy Certification from Evidence in Motion in 2014 to further delineate his expertise in assessment and treatment utilizing hands-on techniques. His emphasis is on hands-on specialized care to a variety of orthopedic settings. He also utilizes a comprehensive treatment approach including dry needling, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, kinesio taping and exercise while providing one on one management to patients across the orthopedic spectrum.

Personally Craig lives in Leesburg, VA with his wife and 4 children. He enjoys exercising, cooking and especially eating.
