DRUG TAKE BACK DAY | On Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. DEA and its national partners, including the Leesburg Police Department, Middleburg Police Department, and Purcellville Police Department locally, will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.
Loudoun County residents can discard potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unneeded medications anonymously and with no questions asked at the following locations:
• LCSO Ashburn Station - 20272 Savin Hill Drive, Ashburn
• LCSO Dulles South Public Safety Center - 25216 Loudoun County Parkway, South Riding
• LCSO Eastern Loudoun Sheriff’s Station - 46620 East Frederick Drive, Sterling
• LCSO Western Loudoun Station - 47 W. Loudoun Street, Round Hill
• Leesburg Police Department – 65 Plaza Street NE, Leesburg
• Middleburg Police Department – 107 W. Federal Street, Middleburg
• Purcellville Police Department – 125 E. Hirst Rd., Suite , Purcellville
ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, medical samples, pet medications, and v**e pens/e-cigarettes (the battery must be removed).
NON-ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: illicit drugs, syringes, sharps, needles, epi-pens, thermometers, batteries, IV bags, blood or infectious waste, liquids, gels, or sprays.
