As a respected Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists (FAAOMPT), Dr. Zelch was invited to present a guest lecture to Shenandoah University's Physical Therapy students, with Dr. Canfield and Dr. Cunningham providing hands-on training and additional mentorship.

We look forward to ongoing collaboration with Shenandoah University Division of Physical Therapy program to develop future leaders in the field.

We would like to introduce and welcome Dr. Chris Cunningham to Spine and Orthopedic Solutions! We are happy to have him in our Herndon location.

Chris Cunningham, PT, DPT, CSCS received his BS in Exercise & Sports Science with a Pre-Rehabilitation Concentration from Texas State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has worked in various settings, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, MMA & Sports Rehab, and Ochsner Baptist Hospital, where he assessed and treated musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. His primary interests lie in orthopedics, manual therapy, and using a holistic approach with a dedication to helping patients recover, regain function, and improve their overall quality of life. He is currently training to become certified in McKenzie’s Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT), an evidence-based approach to assess and treat spine and extremity disorders and the foundation of Spine and Orthopedic Solutions.

We are excited to announce and welcome Dr. Ibrahim Altubasi, PT, Ph.D to Spine and Orthopedic Solutions Physical Therapy Specialists . Dr. Altubasi is coming to us all the way from Jordan and bringing significant expertise in research and patient care.

Dr. Altubasi earned a Ph.D at the University of Pittsburgh in Rehabilitation Science. Dr. Altubasi is joining Spine and Orthopedic Solutions after having been Head of the Physiotherapy Department and Associate Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan. He served as Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance. These leadership positions reflect the high esteem in which he is held by his colleagues in Jordanian academia.
Dr. Altubasi has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in well-respected medical journals.

He and his family are looking forward to settling in and exploring the Northern Virginia and DC area.
