We are excited to welcome Thachapa (JJ) to our team! JJ will be treating patients in our Herndon clinic.
Thachapa (JJ) Ronnarong, PT, DPT, cert DN, RYT200, received her BS in Physical Therapy (PT) from Khon Kaen University, Thailand, in 2005. She started her PT career working in Thai hospitals treating all ages in outpatient, inpatient, and intensive care units, as well as multidisciplinary home health care. After moving to the U.S. in 2017 to pursue career advancing opportunities, she later achieved a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Andrews University, Michigan, in 2023. This post-professional PT program includes the North American Orthopeadics Manual Physical Therapy (NAIOMT) level I, and Medical Exercise Prescription level I. Additionally, she has been certified in Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT), and Dry Needling (levels 1 & 2).
This extensive skill set allows JJ to provide a comprehensive treatment approach that results in the best possible outcome for her patients. Additionally, She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance, and also skilled in Thai massage, manual lymphatic drainage, and cupping techniques. Her passion is focused on empowering patients to achieve functional goals through thoughtful evaluation, targeted treatment techniques and customized individual exercise.
Beyond the clinic, JJ lives in the Northern Virginia area with her husband. She finds personal balance and joy by engaging in activities that promote well-being and connection, such as yoga and meditation, and staying active through hiking and biking with her husband.
