Brian's Gift Road Race On August 20, 1979, Brian Simmons set out on a path in life that was cut short, all too abruptly, by a drunk driver on July 26, 2003. He was a big Red Sox fan.

Those whose paths intersected with Brian's understand that he had a special gift to offer. About Brian Simmons:

Brian was an Ashburnham, MA native, the middle child of the Simmons' three sons. Brian loved sports and was especially adept at soccer. He loved being with his friends and was a spark of light in any group he was with. He graduated from Oakmont Regional High School and later from The Un

iversity of Massachusetts in Amherst with a degree in business administration. He had just started his first full-time job as a unit coordinator on the 3rd floor of UMass Hospital in Worcester. Brian was killed by a drunk driver after leaving from work on July 26th, 2003.

After 10 years of organizing Brian's Gift Road Race, the Simmons family has decided not to hold the race in 2015 and to reassess our decision in 2016. In the meantime, we would like to thank all who participated in the race in any way. You have made possible our mission to honor Brian and help others in ways that Brian would be proud to be a part of. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Two more days! Weather looks like it is going to be awesome! Pre-registration is now closed but you can still register on race day beginning at 9a.m. Come and enjoy all of the activities in addition to the race....auctions, DJ, many kids activities, scarecrow decorating contest (see details at briansgiftroadrace.ort), apple sale. food. Place: 2 Memorial Dr., Ashburnham, MA 01430
(Behind the town hall on Main St)

Time: Registration: 9am

Walkers Start: 10:30
Runners Start: 11:00

Race: 4.5 mile walk or run; or 2.1 mile walk along country roads of Ashburnham.

Divisions: Men’s and Women’s 12-25, 26-45; 46+

Prizes: Cash prizes for division winners

Activities: Face Painting, Kids Games, Kids Fun Run,DJ, silent/Chinese Auctions; Quilt Raffle; Scarecrow Decorating Contest; Food………………Come join the fun!!!

2) We have an AMAZING beneficiary this year: 8yr old Ashburnham resident, Jack McInnis, who is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumor.
