Today, our Gentiva Hospice staff and volunteers had the heartfelt opportunity to serve at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen of Asheboro. This Amazing organization does so much for our community - providing meals, hope, and support to those who need it most. We were honored to spend time with them, helping to feed our neighbors and witnessing firsthand the impact of their mission. A big thank you to Our Daily Bread for all that you do. Gentiva is grateful for the chance to give back and support such an incredible mission.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Our hospice program is seeking caring and dedicated volunteers to offer companionship, support, and comfort to patients and their families during a sacred time in life's journey.

Whether you can offer a listening ear, help with errands, or simply sit beside someone so they're not alone, your time can make a world of difference.

No medical experience is needed, just a kind heart and a little of your time.

Gentiva was honored and proud to spend the month of March honoring our local Vietnam Veterans, in recognition of National Vietnam Veterans Day on March 31st. We had the privilege of supporting and meeting many brave men and women who have served our country at the Kernersville VA Clinic. To show our appreciation, we set up a table and handed out pins, cookies, and other goodies as a small token of our gratitude. Thank you to all who stopped by, and to all veterans for your service and sacrifice.

The Gentiva Hospice Asheboro team had a fantastic and busy month spreading joy and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with our local seniors! We enjoyed crafting, sharing delicious goodies, and spending quality time with residents at assisted living facilities, adult day cares, and senior centers we proudly partner with. One of the highlights was playing bingo at the senior centers. It’s always a hit! We are grateful for the opportunity to bring smiles, laughter, and a little extra luck to our wonderful seniors. Thank you to our team and community partners for making it all possible!

We spent this week honoring our veteran patients by delivering special gifts of appreciation and pins and assisting with hosting an annual Veterans Day Holiday Breakfast at Stanly Senior Center. We at Gentiva take pride in being part of the We Honor Veterans program, giving our time and special gratitude to those who sacrificed so much for our country and freedom.

Our Asheboro office will be collecting food donations throughout the month of September. This year's food will be donated to The Food Pantry of Christian Outreach Center. Please help us reach our goal of collecting 500 pounds of food. You can either drop food off at our office at 533 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203, or call 3363187832, and we can arrange to pick it up. You can also make monetary donations to the website listed on the flyer.
