Upcoming Online Event: The Council Presents
Topic: North Carolina Assistive Technology Program (NCATP)
When: Thursday, July 24 at 1pm
Where: Zoom (https://bit.ly/NCCouncilPresents)

Assistive Technology (AT) means tools and equipment that help people with disabilities do everyday things like going to school, working, having fun, or being part of the community. AT helps build inclusive communities in North Carolina for people with disabilities and gives more people the chance to be involved.

The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) is excited to share more about the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program (NCATP) during our monthly online event, The Council Presents.

NCATP is a program that helps people of all ages and abilities across the state. The program supports people who are navigating services for developmental disabilities in North Carolina, especially in rural areas, and helps remove barriers so everyone can participate.

You’ll hear from an Assistive Technology Practitioner who will talk about what they do, where you can find services, and how AT is helping North Carolina disability self-advocates making change and shaping real stories of disability advocacy in North Carolina.

This event is for people with disabilities, families, and caregivers who want to learn more about how AT can help in daily life.

Want to help make an impact for the disability community? You can help deliver a powerful message to Capitol Hill.
On July 26th, people nationwide will flood Capitol Hill with thousands of letters, telling powerful stories about how disability supports change lives — and what happens when they’re cut.
We need your letter to help send a strong message.
We’re proud to support the Disability Writes Campaign to flood the Senate with stories that show the human side of policy decisions.
📝 Here’s how you can take action today:
