A lot of feelings today in the one year shadow of Helene.
One year ago our community was devastated. We lost a business but people lost their homes and lives. We cling tight to our people today. Things are things and we can rebuild, but it’s this community that has given us so much hope for the future of Western North Carolina. We’ve been through a lot together and we’re always holding space and so much love for our people.
We’re posting a little throwback picture from pre-Helene Biltmore Village today because there will be enough traumatic pictures of the devastation going around today. So this is your permission to log off today if you need to. Take care of yourself, hug your people and reflect on how far we’ve come in just one year.
PS: No, we still don’t have an answer on when our Biltmore village shop will open. But our Downtown Asheville and Greenville shops are open today and we could all use a good hug if you’ve got one to spare. 🤍
