Chronic pain can be debilitating. Not knowing why or where it comes from only increases the stress making it worse. Here are some ways to use mindfulness to explore your pain. Getting curious about the pain versus avoiding it might help you gain insight. What emotions are tied to it? What does the pain “look” like? Slowly peel the layers of its ‘hold’ on your body.
