Here's what you need to know: 1) Psychotherapy Voucher Member Training for NC therapists will be held 1/18 from 6:30-8:30pm via Zoom. We're looking to put together a team of 4-5 people who are community members, clients, therapists, directory members, and Board members to find out next Executive Director!

We're looking for folx who can commit to approximately 5-hours a week from approximately June 11th-July 15th.

Folx from historically marginalized communities are urged to apply. Search committee members will be part of a week of initial training that committee members will assist in delivering and receive ongoing training and support throughout our search.

We are offering $769.50 to each search committee member.

As 2022 draws to a close, the holidays can be a hard time of year. If you feel you need someone to talk to please reach out and get the support you need. Our final Voucher application for 2022 is open!!! Greetings,
We are in the season of reflection and thanks giving. A Therapist Like Me is grateful for all that has been given to us this year and over the last three years. We have been able to provide vouchers to 65 people, cover close to 80,000 dollars in therapeutic services, host 45 directory members and 12 voucher members, offer multiple professional development trainings, and increase our community outreach through mental health pop up clinics.

On this Giving Tuesday, we ask that you continue to help us reach more people in need of counseling and mental health support by donating. Our goal is to increase wellness opportunities while decreasing stigma. As Giving Tuesday comes to a close, we encourage you give tomorrow on what we have deem Wellness Wednesday.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We’re here for anyone effected by breast cancer. 🎀

We use this month to raise awareness of the cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of breast cancer.

Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms. 🩺

Are you worried about the cost? CDC’s National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program offers free or low-cost mammograms to women who have low incomes and are uninsured or underinsured.
