Great event, Thursday, at the DoubleTree in Asheville, NC. Buncombe County sponsored the inaugural Geriatric Summit and No Place Like Home WNC was a vendor along with - Blue Ridge Elder Adventures. I also had the opportunity to co-present on Home Modifications for Aging In Place with Richard Duncan, Executive Director of the Universal Design Institute, based in Asheville, NC.

Yes, it is true. I may have a part as an “extra” camper in this movie!

"Summer Camp," a comedy starring Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, and Alfre Woodard (filmed in the Asheville area, hitting theaters May 31!) is a good reminder that you’re never too old to enjoy marshmallows toasted over an open flame and hang out with friends in the middle of the woods.🌲

Kristin and I visited the French Broad River Greenway at Hominy Park in West Asheville today. As we observed today, the paved trail makes it easy to navigate for walkers, cyclists, moms pushing strollers, folks in wheelchairs or using a walker.
