The HIVe THE HIVe is home to WNCCHS HIV care and prevention programs. It is also a platform to promote the evolution in HIV services across western North Carolina.

It is a new day. Welcome to THE HIVe. The HIVe is your one stop resource for all things HIV. Ending the Epidemic is more than just medical care provision – it’s education, prevention, outreach, engagement, service coordination…Most of all, progress is contingent upon collaborative, comprehensive, trauma-informed care services that work to identify, address, and reduce barriers to human health opti

mization. From transportation instability to food insecurity, HIV is a community crisis that demands community-level solutions. We all have a part to play and THE HIVe is privileged to participate in this push for meaningful change throughout and beyond our WNC service region. As a concept, THE HIVe is nothing new: individual bees work in service for the good of the hive as a whole. However, in practice, THE HIVe is potentially transformative. We value quality, affordability, transparency, accountability, and respect – above all else, we value human dignity and diversity. Above all else, we value human life. It is with this heart, spirit, and mind that we invite our patients, staff, local leaders, advocates, and community to join forces in fueling change as we work as one to humanize and eradicate HIV. Welcome to THE HIVe – the next chapter in WNC’s HIV care story.
