One of the most overlooked muscles we see in athletes dealing with hip pain, knee pain, and inefficient movement.

Your glute med is key for pelvic stability, knee control, and power transfer with every step, stride, and lift. When it’s weak, other areas compensate… and that’s usually when pain shows up.

One of the most neglected muscles we see in the clinic?

Your transverse abdominis — a deep core muscle that plays a massive role in spinal stability, breathing, and efficient movement.

If your core training is all planks and sit-ups, this muscle is probably getting overlooked. And when it’s not doing its job, other areas pick up the slack… usually leading to back pain or stalled progress.

Owners and Founders Ryan Barragree and Christian Busch opened WildHawk Physical Therapy in 2020. The two became friends while doctoral candidates at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. There, they learned they were both diehard sports fans: Ryan, a Kansas State Wildcat, and Christian, a Kansas Jayhawk.
