Once you have birthed a child, you are forever Postpartum.

Forever transformed.

Postpartum is a time for healing, emotional vulnerability, and transformation. It is a time of resilience and complete overwhelm.

Postpartum is unlike any other experience, and it deserves more support.

After the birth, there is a tendency to shift the attention away from the birthing person to focus on the baby.

We forget that with each birth a mother is born, and that mother deserves to be held.

It’s Mindful Movement Monday! Pelvic tilts can be a simple movement with a big impact 💪🏻

⭐️The benefits of targeted pelvic tilt exercises are two-fold. In the short term, you can alleviate pain and stiffness and strengthen your core. Doing pelvic tilt exercises also prevents long-term issues by encouraging neutral alignment in the pelvis.

Neutral alignment gives you the most amount of space in the pelvis and low back, which can relieve stress on the soft tissue and prevent muscle imbalances.

Here’s why walking could benefit you during your pregnancy:
⭐️Improves cardiovascular health:
Walking strengthens the heart and reduces the risk of pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia and gestational diabetes.
⭐️Reduces back pain and fatigue:
Walking helps strengthen core muscles and improve posture, reducing back pain and fatigue common during pregnancy.
⭐️Promotes healthy weight gain:
Walking helps burn calories and maintain a healthy weight gain during pregnancy.
⭐️Improves mood and sleep:
Exercise releases endorphins, which have mood-boosting and sleep-promoting effects.
⭐️Prepares for labor:
Walking strengthens pelvic floor muscles and improves flexibility, which can aid in labor and delivery.

Low iron can be something to navigate at some point in your prenatal or postpartum experience, so try adding some of the above foods to get a little boost!

All of these foods are super helpful to add to your diet because they either provide a good dose of food based iron, or help your body to increase how much iron it absorbs from your meal🥘

Mindful Movement Monday is here! 🧘‍♀️ Cat Cow is out move of the day. This is a favorite and can be done throughout your pregnancy 👌 Give it a try! Here’s How:

🧘‍♀️Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position, ensuring your wrists are under your shoulders and your knees are under your hips.
🧘‍♀️As you inhale, arch your back, tilting your tailbone and chin upwards (Cow Pose).
🧘‍♀️As you exhale, round your back, tucking your chin to your chest, and drawing your belly in (Cat Pose).
🧘‍♀️Continue flowing between these two poses for several breaths. Enjoy!!

A few tasty tips:

⭐️Snacks YOU love to eat⭐️

Remember that labor is work and your body needs fuel to keep going! Bringing your own snacks in your birth bag can be both nutritious and comforting!

Molly quite literally keeps this place running. From navigating scheduling, to helping our families understand the intricacies of birth center care, to holding space(and babies) for new and expecting families, Molly is essential to our community!
