Brown trout are one of the most iconic sportfish in our Tailwaters— strong, wary, and beautifully patterned. Though not native, they’ve become an important part of our cold‑water fisheries and rely on clean, cool, well‑oxygenated streams to thrive.
But brown trout face growing pressure from warming waters, sedimentation, and habitat degradation. Our nonprofit works year‑round to protect the streams they depend on through restoration projects, water‑quality monitoring, and angler education.
