Signs Your Root Chakra May Be Asking for Healing
Have you been feeling…
• Anxious for no clear reason
• Constantly “on edge” or unable to fully relax
• Worried about money, health, or survival
• Disconnected from your body
• Exhausted, even after resting
• Like you don’t quite belong anywhere
• Overthinking, planning, bracing for the next thing
These aren’t flaws. They are signals.
In yoga, we call this area of your energy system Muladhara: the Root Chakra.
It governs safety, stability, trust, and your sense of belonging on the Earth.
When the Root Chakra is out of balance, the nervous system stays in survival mode.
Even when life is okay, the body doesn’t know it yet.
This is why so many people say: “I know I’m safe…but I don’t feel safe.”
Your body is still listening to old stories.
This is where yoga becomes medicine.
Gentle, grounding yoga doesn’t try to “fix” you.
It slowly teaches the body a new truth:
You are here.
You are supported.
You can exhale.
Through slow movement, deep breathing, long-held poses, and rest on the earth, the nervous system begins to soften. The muscles let go of holding. The breath deepens. The mind quiets.
And something very old begins to shift.
The body remembers safety.
This is why our practices this season are so gentle, slow, and grounding.
We are not pushing.
We are re-teaching the body how to trust being alive.
If you’ve been feeling tired of holding it all together,
if you’ve been living from your shoulders instead of your feet,
if you’re longing to feel more steady inside…
Your Root Chakra may simply be asking to be met with love.
And yoga is one of the kindest ways to do that.
With love,
Prema ♥
