Do you stare at a screen all day? Is the first thing you do when you wake up to look at your phone? Or maybe you scroll through social media, emails, or tiktok until you fall asleep long after you get into bed?

Our Circadian Rhythms are physical, mental, behavioral, and metabolic changes that happen over a 24 hour cycle. Our Circadian Rhythms respond primarily to light and darkness. This means that looking at artificial lights, like screens or fluorescent lights, can throw off your circadian rhythm!

Here is a challenge: Try to have 10 minutes of screen-free time in the morning and allow yourself to wake up with natural light. And give yourself 30 minutes to 1 hour of screen-free time before bed. We know, that sounds like an eternity without your phone or favorite show, but limiting artificial light around your sleep schedule can allow your Circadian Rhythm to get back on course and get you on track to feeling your best.
