✨Who’s out there living in a Bendy body, knowing that you are “supposed to“ work on getting stronger but you just don’t know where to start?

✨Or maybe you’ve tried strength training in the past and for whatever reason, it just seem to always cause more pain and you never made any progress?

✨Or maybe you’ve just heard me talking about my in-person strength training class for hypermobile folks called Bendy & Badass, and you’ve been wondering what that’s all about!

✨This class series is for you! (It’s actually for anyone— bendy or not!)

✨We will meet over six weeks and learn the basics of functional strength training using dumbbells.

✨You’ll have access to class recordings and a video library of exercises for a whole year!

✨You can start with whatever weight you choose! As always, I recommend starting low and progressing very slowly.

✨We will explore ways to work on our main strength categories: squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling. We may even throw in some carrying.

✨Follow the link in my bio to register and DM me with any questions!

✨Who’s gonna join me?

Check out this week’s episode of zebra talks podcast with Dena Mellick .strength . Dena is a strength coach with plenty of experience with chronic illness.

On the podcast, she talks about the many benefits of strength training and why we should see it as a non negotiable.

She also talks about what to look for and what to avoid when choosing a strength coach if you’re someone living with a hypermobility syndrome.

Yep, we know the bendy body is different! But we also know that it’s adaptable. And it just needs a different approach.

If you are a bendy person looking to get into strength training, I hope you find some useful tidbits in here!

New podcast episode is out! This one is with Dr. Saperstein all about POTS, challenges with diagnosis, and treatment. Dr. Saperstein is a diamond in the haystack so to speak. An MD who has been willing to step outside the box and really learn about EDS/POTS and related conditions, and then to actually treat them. 🤯. I am so grateful for his work and I know many others are too! Have a listen at the link in my bio or wherever you listen to podcasts and let me know what you think in the comments.

Thrilled to announce this week’s episode of Zebra Talks Podcast with the amazing Katy Bowman of . Katy is my all-time favorite biomechanics guru. I can’t recommend her work highly enough. In this episode she emphasizes the sensory challenges that are intertwined with musculoskeletal issues in the bendy body. It’s not just a tissue problem! And this is where SO MANY treatment approaches just miss the mark. Check it out wherever you listen to podcasts or follow the link in my bio to listen. Let me know what you think in the comments
