With spring finally upon us, I am happy to share that I will now be offering walk and talk sessions and land-based therapy as part of my practice. This approach can be very supportive for those who find the traditional face-to-face therapy setting limiting or overly intense.
For some clients, sitting across from someone in an office can activate defenses or make it harder to access what’s actually going on. Being outside, moving, and engaging with the natural world can create a different kind of openness and ease.
This way of working can be especially supportive for those who feel guarded in traditional settings and for those who long to reconnect with their bodies, the natural world, and a deeper sense of belonging.
Working outdoors offers more than just a change of setting. It brings in additional layers of experience and reflection. The natural environment becomes part of the process, offering space, perspective, and a different way of relating to what you’re working through.
This is not just about talking. It is about remembering your place within something larger, and allowing that to support change.
If you’re curious about this way of working or know of individuals who could benefit from therapy in a natural setting, please feel free to reach out. This may be an opportunity for you or those you know to reconnect not just with yourselves but with something more fundamental.
