Feeling so fortunate today to be in my office with power and water and the view of a lineman out my window working on the power lines for our incredible city. I have heard so many stories of resilience these past couple of weeks; stories of communities and individuals stepping up, stepping out of their comfort zones, stepping into volunteerism, checking on neighbors, cooking for strangers. While I am personally incredibly fortunate for my home, my office, my family and friends to all be safe and mostly with restored power; there are so many areas all around that are still struggling deeply. There is so much trauma and sadness- people without jobs, children without schools, businesses that remain closed and may never reopen, street lights that are still dark, and people without basic necessities. The juxtaposition of pain and grief with community and hope is disorienting. Squeeze your loved ones today, continue to volunteer or check on your neighbors and if you need it find solitude, take care of yourself first and foremost and know that when you need a moment to put your own oxygen mask on there are plenty of us out there stepping up and showing up and it's okay for you to take care of yourself.

Folks it's been hard around here. I am so fortunate that my family my loved ones my home is all safe and that we have power and running water because we're on a well. My office on the other hand does not have running water or internet at this time. Our landlord and the other folks using the office are in conversation about opening in a limited way to those who need it the most and are able to make it in person. If you have checked this page to try to check on me or my practice I apologize that until now I have not had access to the internet or to my electronic medical record system. I still do not have access to those things without driving to a hotspot somewhere. My business number is a cell phone and I am able more often than not to receive and answer texts which is the best way to reach me at this time. 8287797900. I am not accepting new clients as I just don't have the capacity at this time so please current clients only. As soon as I am able I will post resources for anyone who may come across this page that is not a current client and needs to access those resources to find themselves mental help support It is out there and if you are in a hot spot or have access to the internet there are resources to support folks through this extremely difficult moment in our lives. If you are a current client of mine and would like to come in and see me in person at my office please text the number above and we will coordinate the schedule to make this happen for you. Please also know that my electronic medical record system is still sending out reminders for regularly scheduled appointments and I cannot change that at this time. Unless we have spoken or texted and you have confirmed your appointment with me please know that those reminders are not an expectation and if you are unable to make your appointment I completely understand. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones be kind to your community in these moments and please reach out if you are in need.

I am so excited to talk about this community art project. I had a wonderful conversation with the person running it today and my family is looking forward to volunteering and supporting them in the future.

The mission of the art initiative is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where those who find themselves without homes can express themselves through art & in the process experience healing, dignity & hope.
