Mountain Area Pregnancy Services 🤍We provide a safe place to find real answers about pregnancy-related issues, empowering women to make an educated choice.

Mountain Area Pregnancy Services has been serving the WNC community since 1981. We desire to provide all of our clients – both women and men – with a positive experience in a safe, warm and compassionate environment. The reason we have become a trusted community resource by clients and families is because we truly care about you and your individual situation. Our team of specially trained staff and volunteers are prepared to help you with:

• An unplanned pregnancy

We offer free, medical quality pregnancy tests administered by clinically trained personnel. With a positive test, the pregnancy can be confirmed by a FREE limited obstetrical ultrasound. MAPS can provide you with honest answers to your questions and information about all options and resources available to you.

• A past abortion

We offer a small-group study designed for women who have experienced some degree of regret after having an abortion. The study addresses such issues as loss, guilt, anger, depression and forgiveness. The study is totally non-judgmental and confidential. You can feel safe knowing that nothing discussed within the group will be shared outside of the group.

• The loss of a baby

If you have suffered the loss of a baby, whether by miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn death, you need to be given "permission to grieve." At MAPS, you will find those who have been where you are and can relate to the suffering caused by the death of a child.

• Your baby’s devastating diagnosis

Unexpected news at your ultrasound? Being told that something is wrong with your baby can be devastating. We offer free counseling and support for parents dealing with a life-limiting, even lethal diagnosis.

• Questions from the Guys:

We realize that an unplanned pregnancy can be an overwhelming time for both the father and the mother. We’re here to answer questions and provide support to the guys, too! We proudly have 2 locations in Buncombe County and Haywood Counties to serve you! Asheville Office (Main location)

Dear friends,
Today has been a terrible day for our nation, with the assassination of conservative commentator, Charlie Kirk. He was a staunch pro-life advocate, thanks to his christian faith. We pray for his family and his organization tonight.
Our team stood around in shock late today re: his passing. I found myself shaking my head in disbelief at the pure evil and hatred in so many hearts in America today. Sadly, our organization was on the receiving end of such hatred in June 2022 when we were severely vandalized for our pro-life beliefs. That was an incredibly scary time for us and it has never been lost on us that every day we come into work, we place our lives on the line to stand tall for the cause of life.
Today, none of this makes much sense and brings incredible sadness into our hearts. But as I've tried to process the last few hours of this day, the Lord has reminded me that He is still God and He is still on the throne. My prayer is that through this tragedy, He will gain glory, the lost will now receive Him, our nation will finally become united, and that Christians world-wide will stand for what is right.
Mountain Area Pregnancy Services will continue to fight daily for the right for every unborn child to have a chance at life. But now, we fight with more fervor, knowing that our God is greater than the hatred and sin residing in many hearts today. With His strength, wisdom, and divine protection, we will continue to be ambassadors for LIFE!
