Fun day in Brevard massaging who completed either the 50k or 100k ride to raise money for Pisgah Forest's . The disco music was playing, the bells were ringing and the bodies rolling in were in recovery. Muscles were twitching, cramping or just plain aching and I was happy to provide relief as best as I could. Much respect to the athletes and the organizers. It was an azure blue sky, sunny, breezy spring day ~

Sometimes self care looks like:

🌲Forest bathing & walking meditation in the woods
🌇Rooftop sunset & a good book
😻Admiring the peaceful energy of a cat
🍎Resting & eating fresh fruit

This week was incredibly taxing on my nervous system. For me the best therapy always includes time alone in nature, body movement, introspection and rest, allowing myself to feel and heal in a safe space (home with cats🐾) and good food. Sometimes that's a lot of fresh whole foods, sometimes that's a bangin' slice of pizza or a few glasses of rosé. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The best medicine is doing what you know will help you relax while nourishing what your body, mind and soul needs. Please be gentle on yourself as we collectively navigate the changes and challenges of life. Spring has sprung upon us but our energy reserves may still be depleted from winter. Remember to take good care. 🙏🏼✨💓 Sending all the love & light 😘

Another milestone for me although the stats are wimpy - after 30 ish years of not doing it, to get back on a mountain bike this evening and ride over rocks and tree stumps and roots and push uphill feels somewhat epic- I'm super stoked!! So grateful for my friend C who guided & encouraged me along the way. As a fellow LMBT she is obviously empathetic and here for it- us folx do be coaching fitness goals on the daily 😅💪🏼 its a lifestyle fo sho 🚵🏼‍♀️ I've been wanting to get back on the cycling vibe since moving down here and it's finally come to full manifestation 🙏🏼💓🌱

Spring is a time for renewal, coming out of our winter shells, dusting out the rugs, opening the windows and letting fresh air flow. It's a time to stretch and reawaken our bodies, gather our seeds and turn the soil. 🌱 What are you planting? 🌷

I am sowing the seeds of knowledge and growing a garden of courses which will be available to those wishing to embody , and learn to care for those around them in return.

Empowered Holistic Academy™ is coming soon; a platform for wellness enthusiasts, professional practitioners, and industry leaders seeking insight. I'll be soft launching this project with local workshops. In person beta classes for bodyworkers are coming soon to Asheville at reduced pricing. Stay tuned!

*OBSESSED* with this hand-woven blanket from Mexico. Y'all know I always use Mexican blankets in my practice, but this one is really just SO pretty and matches the room so nicely.

Got this down in Puerto Vallarta last month while visiting for vacation. So glad my peeps are OK! Recent military action directed at the cartel resulted in retaliation on the area in the form of burning cars and looting. PV went into lockdown for a few days but luckily nobody in the city was harmed. Phew!

Anyway - 🙌🏼💕🇲🇽 Viva Mexico! Love the people, the culture, the crafts, the food, the beaches and the mountains. This blanket brings happy vibes to my studio. Come see me! ☺️

Challenge for me today; double the elevation gain that I'm usually comfortable with ever since having Covid. Went alone and took my time on those inclines. Made sure to get enough nutrients in beforehand, brought snacks, water, and trekking poles. Really proud of myself! This was a beautiful trail with breathtaking views and tons of lovely moss covered trees. Nature is always the best thing. I am endlessly grateful I can get myself out there and enjoy good days like this. 🙏🏼💚🏞️
