🌟 Exciting Week Alert! 🚓💡 As a mental health clinician and addiction specialist, I had the privilege of training some of Asheville’s finest law enforcement officers, exploring the complexities of personality and anxiety disorders, and enhancing their skills in crisis intervention.

The highlight of our week? Bringing officers to the psychiatric unit where I work, engaging in transformative group sessions with our patients. Witnessing the powerful interactions and mutual understanding that unfold is truly inspiring. 🤝❤️

These sessions aren’t just about training; they’re about building bridges between law enforcement and mental health, fostering empathy, and equipping our officers with the tools they need to support our community compassionately.

Proud of the progress we’re making and the connections we’re forging! Together, we’re not only enhancing the skills of our officers but also creating a safer, more understanding Asheville for everyone. 🌟🏙️

Feeling supercharged after addressing the Buncombe County Democratic Convention this morning! 🌟 The energy in the room was electric, with everyone united and ready to make a difference in the upcoming elections.
