Asheville Holistic Physical Therapy shares a vision to provide comprehensive Physical Therapy treatment that acknowledges that the body functions as an integrated whole, and the human system also functions as an integrated whole. Successful treatment will address these relationships. We offer standard Holistic Physical Therapy, as well as Holistic Pelvic Health sessions.
Ruth is a Pregnancy and Postpartum PT specialist and is passionate about educating and empowering women from a holistic perspective. Outside of the clinic, Ruth enjoys singing opera and folk music, canning, backyard camping in her remodeled vintage airstream camper, and hiking in the mountains of her native home. Ruth and her wife Brenda own AHPT and intend it to be a supportive therapeutic environment for skilled practitioners and resilient patients for many years to come.
AHPT is so blessed to have KERRY TOBIN, DPT as our team member! She is caring, focused, deeply knowledgeable and very skilled in her hands-on approach to the body. Her speciality is Pregnancy and Postpartum but also loves to treat the whole family with Holistic PT!

Kerry Tobin, PT, DPT, COMT
Kerry Tobin is a licensed physical therapist specializing in pelvic health and orthopedics. Kerry earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo in 2014 following undergraduate work in Exercise Science and working as a personal trainer. She then practiced in Tennessee for 3 years while working towards her manual therapy certification through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments, which she achieved in 2017. Since then, Kerry has had the opportunity to work across the country in Colorado, Northern California and Southern California as well as volunteering in Haiti. She has been able to learn from therapists and mentors in each location and incorporate diverse knowledge and skills into her practice.
In addition to completing the pelvic floor series curriculum through Herman and Wallace, she has studied myofascial release for pelvic dysfunction and pregnancy as well as advanced coursework in pain science and spinal manipulation. She is very excited to bring her skills and expertise to her new home in Asheville.

Tessa Nayowith, LMBT
Tessa is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist and yoga instructor. She is drawn to massage as a way to heal from physical and emotional trauma and the effects of chronic stress. She weaves elements of many modalities together to create a trauma-informed holistic approach to body work including: Somatic Experiencing Visceral Manipulation, Zero Balancing, and Integrated Positional Therapy as well as Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra.
