September 1st begins geological fall (as opposed to calendar fall, which begins on 9/21).The last day of August is a good time for a restorative practice that will quiet our nervous systems and prepare us for the new season of many changes. We can observe and take in the effects on our bodies, minds, and breath, which can direct us towards the conscious choices aimed to reveal our highest good.

We've said it before and we will say it again (and again, and again...) - props are an incredible way to support and explore your practice. That's why we strive to find ways to add props to the studio, like the new post and ceiling ropes.

Iyengar Yoga Asheville opened its doors in June 2018. Asheville’s first dedicated Iyengar studio, this beautiful newly renovated space is located in the historic Grovewood Village of Asheville, NC. The vision of IYAVL is to help students progress by providing them with the opportunity and inspiration to study and practice. In addition to a full schedule of classes, the studio offers open practice times throughout the day for members to utilize the space for personal practice.
