Dear Asheville Yoga Community,
As I write to you from Pune, immersed in study at RIMYI, my heart keeps returning home to all of you. This journey has been a long-held aspiration, but it is because of our community that it became possible. I am here learning, observing, absorbing, and every day I feel the presence of our shared practice beside me.
In this season of gratitude, I want to express my deep thanks for the support you’ve offered in countless ways. To my dedicated students: you are the reason I felt called to deepen my studies. Your curiosity, your consistency, and your trust in the method — and in me — continue to inspire me.
To the teachers who are covering my classes: thank you for holding the space at the studio with such care. Knowing that the community is in capable, generous hands allows me to be fully present in my studies here. Your willingness to step in means more than I can say.
And to our entire Iyengar community back home: I am grateful for everything I continue to learn simply by being a part of you. Each conversation, each class, each shared insight expands my understanding of this path.
Though I am far away, I carry Asheville with me into every practice hall and every lesson. Thank you for making this chapter of study not only possible, but meaningful.
Wishing you all a grounded, nourishing, and joyful Thanksgiving.
With gratitude and devotion,
Randy
