Time to start making summer plans! Undergraduates interested in healthcare are invited to check out the paid summer internship programs from our MAHEC Center for Health Professions Education:

- UNCA Pre-Healthcare Professions Internship is for UNC Asheville students preparing for careers in clinical healthcare, including medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry. DEADLINE TO APPLY: JANUARY 21, 2026.

- WNC HEART (Healthcare Experience and Rural Training) is for undergraduates from rural communities in NC with a dedicated interest in practicing as a healthcare provider in a rural community. DEADLINE TO APPLY: FEBRUARY 8, 2026.

- MAHECxplorer is for undergraduates interested in exploring a variety of disciplines within the healthcare field. DEADLINE TO APPLY: FEBRUARY 8, 2026.
